| Bateman-Hall, Inc. is Awarded the 2007 Best Public Project over 5 Million for Melaleuca Field by Intermountain Contractor
The $5.6 million Melaleuca Field project is a welcome addition to the Idaho Falls Area, as the field is home to the Kansas City Royals minor league baseball team called the Chukars.
Demolition of the old stadium began in the fall of 2006, with a mandate that the new field be completed in time for opening season 2007. The grandstand includes 1,200 box seats, 1,450 bench seats with backs, eight custom suites with balcony seating, a large press box, two large concession booths, a souvenir shop and various offices.
The concourse wraps around the playing field with a picnic area on the third base side and a party area with a hot tub on the first base side. A separate building next to the field contains two locker rooms and extra storage. |
